Abstract
At present, one of the main tasks of mankind is to dispose of the waste produced. This objective can be achieved by a variety of methods such as landfilling, incineration, biological processes, and the processes of physical, chemical and physico-chemical waste treatment. The progressive method is thermal treatment of waste and especially their energy use, which offers a number of advantages, including a significant reduction in the volume of waste, speed of the whole process compared to other methods and especially the ability to use energy from the waste itself. The diploma thesis deals with the description of the pyrolysis process, its products, types of pyrolysis reactors and suitable wastes usable in this technology. In the practical part, the preparation and analysis of suitable material mixtures for the pyrolysis unit is performed.
