Abstract

The goal of the bachelor thesis is assessing possibilities of using chosen bank programs for pre-financing of entrepreneurial investment projects through the EU structural funds. In the theoretical level the bachelor thesis focuses on the regional policy EU and balance characteristics of investment projects financing. In the practical level there are compared bank programs appointed for financing projects through the EU structural funds. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is divided into two chapters. The aim of the second chapter is to explain regional policy role and principles. There are described main aspects of the regional policy in the current programming period 2007 – 2013 and also the future of regional policy in the next period 2014 – 2020. The third chapter deals with financial sources of the investment projects depending on their origin – internal and external. This chapter also explains the role of grants through the EU structural funds used for financing of such projects. The practical part of the bachelor thesis at first describes the process of getting a grant through the EU structural funds. Next the chapter continues with introducing the characteristics of chosen bank programs from the point of view of services that offer these programs in term of grant process. Bank programs are afterwards compared according to chosen criteria. Their quality and scope is evaluated by using semaphore and point methods. In the bachelor thesis conclusion is adduced the overall evaluation of the compared bank programs and there are specified main differences between them.
