Vyhodnocení efektivity protiprašných opatření při hornické činnosti u přilehlých obcí – monitoring PM 10

Abstract

The subject of the dissertation is the evaluation of the effectiveness of the anti-dust measures of the Bílina Mines built with the aim of minimizing the impacts of the mining activity of this surface mine on the communities located in its vicinity. The introductory chapter describes the legislation related to the issue of dust, especially regarding solid pollutants (TSP) and specifically PM10 particles. Northbohemian mines s.c. operates at two locations, for the purposes of this dissertation, the methods, and measures to reduce and eliminate dust applied and operated at the Doly Bílina location are described. The next chapters describe a stationary source of pollution – the Bílina Mines. Furthermore, the specific means and methods used for disposing of coal dust at the quarry and treatment plants are described, as well as the requirements for their deployment, installation, operation, and conditions for their maximum use. Subsequently, overviews of measurement results, evaluation of concentrations of suspended PM10 particles and dust fallout in the vicinity of DB and adjacent municipalities are presented. By comparing the measurement results in relation to the installed equipment, dust disposal methods and their effect on reducing the amount of PM10 particles in the location in question, the most beneficial methods are expressed. The goal of the thesis is to propose optimization of anti-dust measures, including measures applied on open areas, based on an annual comparison (2011–2022) of outputs from immission monitoring.
