Abstract
This thesis deals with the design, implementation and evaluation of experimental measurements of the thermal comfort of the user when wearing different construction types of cranial remodelling orthoses. It briefly introduces the basic issues of positional head deformities and their treatment options. The theoretical part also includes the principles of thermography, description of the design of the thermal camera and presents a search of available studies on a similar topic. The practical part focuses on the design, conduct and evaluation of the experiment. Measurements were performed on head models and two different types of cranial remodelling orthoses using an IR camera under stable ambient conditions, followed by analysis of the measured data in MATLAB. The results show that the Talee orthosis produced using 3D printing provides greater thermal comfort to the users.
