Dům hudby – Janáčkova filharmonie Ostrava

Abstract

Master´s thesis will aim to explore concert halls for symphonic music. The goal of this project is to design the building for Janáček philharmonic Ostrava, which includes two symphony halls - bigger and smaller. This work also focuses on reflecting contemporary tendencies of philharmonic buildings and local conditions of the Edvard Beneš square and former shopping galleria Ostravica Textilia, too. Master´s thesis will aim to revive the center of Ostrava. The building will be a polyfunctional house.
