Abstract

This work focuses on protecting the electrical network of a cruise vessel. The first part of the work includes a description of electrical protections, including the use of ABB's REF615 and REF620, faults, testing panel, and typical cruise vessel networks. It describes the specific application of these protections in the electrical network of the boat according to its specifications. The second part details the process of setting up protection configurations for typical use on the boat in the PCM600 program, including logical, graphical settings, and precise parameters of protective functions for both protections. The configuration and placement of protections allow and apply their selective action. The final part demonstrates the progress of measurements using testing equipment and evaluates the measurements of all protective functions in the utilized protections.
