Abstract

This Bachelor thesis deals with the acquisition, distribution and subsequent use of renewable energy sources from the perspective of their impact on society and at the same time the chances for their use. It also deals with the impact on the environment, and outlines their perspective. Here is an overview of types of currently built power stations. The next part explains the principle of using biomass to obtain energy. In conclusion it is evaluated the potential of renewable energy sources in the Czech Republic as well as in terms of international, particularly in relation to our membership in the European Union.
