Abstract
This diploma thesis was focused on the evaluation of the water quality of the Frýdecký potok based on the monitoring of selected monitored parameters. This 5.9 km long small watercourse is in the Silesia near the Šenov municipality. It springs near the Sedliště municipality and flows into the Venclůvka watercourse. A total of 5 sampling points were identified, which were selected on the assumption that pollution of this watercourse may occur at these points. The water quality was monitored from November 2019 to October 2020. The obtained results were evaluated based on ČSN 75 7221 and government regulation No. 401/2015 Coll. The theoretical part described information about watercourses, individual conditions in the selected landscape and legislation. The practical part described the methodology and results of the monitored parameters. In all monitored profiles, the Frýdecký potok was classified into the 5th quality class - which is very heavily polluted water.
