Porovnání výkonnosti komerčních bank pomocí hybridního AHP - Balanced Scorecard modelu

Abstract

The thesis aims to compare the performance of selected commercial banks by combining the multi-criteria decision-making methods AHP and ANP with the Balanced Scorecard method, which is considered a complex performance measurement method. The thesis is divided into a total of five chapters, with the first chapter being the introduction and the fifth chapter being the conclusion. The second chapter describes the selected commercial banks whose performance is then measured in the application part of the thesis. These banks are Československá obchodní banka, a.s., Česká spořitelna, a.s., Komerční banka, a.s., UniCredit Bank Czech Republic and Slovakia, a.s. In the third chapter, the focus is on the description of the methodology of multi-criteria decision-making and the characteristics of the basic concepts of this issue. Saaty's method of determining weights, the analytic hierarchy process method and the analytic network process method, are described in more detail. The second part of the third chapter is devoted to describing the Balanced Scorecard method including a description of the four perspectives of this method. Within the fourth chapter, the design of the BSC model for the AHP and ANP methods is constructed. Furthermore, the input values of the indicators are calculated, and the weights are determined according to the four experts. Global weights are calculated using the analytical method and the supermatrix method, which are further used to calculate the final score. The local weights and the sub-ratings of the variants with respect to the indicators also enter into the final rating. The best-rated bank in terms of performance was Československá obchodní banka, both in the AHP and ANP methods. The second best-rated bank was Česká spořitelna, the third best-rated bank was Komerční banka, and the fourth best-rated bank was UniCredit Bank.
