Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with elections to the local councils, about their organization and costs in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014 and it is applied to the City of Hlučín. For work were defined two objectives. The first one was to define the framework of organization of elections to the to the local council level City of Hlučín. The second one was to evaluate the structure of the costs incurred of elections to the local councils to the City of Hlučín in 2014 and the development of selected costs incurred to elections to the local councils to the City of Hlučín in 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014. The theoretical part is about the history and development of elections to the local councils, about their financing and the legal definition in the legislation. The practical part is about costs of these elections, their development and the evaluation and development of the voter turnout in the monitored period.
