Abstract

ROJEK, Filip. Multifunctional use of mobile flood barriers. Bachelor thesis, supervisor doc. Ing. Lenka Brumarová, Ph.D. Ostrava: VSB – TUO, Faculty of safety Engineering, Department of Public Protection, 2024. This bachelor thesis deals with mobile flood barriers and specifically their multifunctional use. As these barriers are primarily designed for flood protection, the thesis will also discuss flood issues, flood subdivision and flood protection. The main contents of this thesis are mobile flood barriers their characteristics, their use in flood protection, their technical specifications and certain advantages of using specific mobile flood barriers. Finally, the thesis will include a description of the sectors in which their multifunctional use can be found outside flood control and an analysis of the barriers that are suitable for this use and specifically for which sectors.
