Aplikace nanotechnologie do vodního prostředí v Horských lázních Karlova Studánka, s. p.

Abstract

This master's thesis is focused on the applied research of TiO2-based nanotechnology in water environment that specifies the suitability and efficiency of this technology for the water environment of the HLKS pool complex with the objective to allow rehabilitation care also for patients with the diagnosis of upper-airways diseases, allergic persons, children under three and others. It is based on the use of titanium dioxide nanoparticles that successfully destroy organic impurities. It acts as a physical disinfection thanks to the effect of the light energy during the so-called photocatalytic mineralization. This work also includes the evaluation of positive and negative effects of the technology that have emerged during the research through interaction of nanosuspension with chlorinated pool water.
