Abstract

This thesis examines the influence of human capital on the economic level. Its aim is to determine the possible influence of educational investment to GDP per capital in the European Union. The influence of human capital on the economic level is detemined through various methods, which are provided in many empirical studies, economists who have dealt with effects of human capital. The aim of this thesis is examined through correlation analysis, which expresses the interdependence of two variables. Investments in education are dividend into private and public, and are compared in 2008. Private investment in education and GDP per capital is negative Pearson correlation coefficient, which expresses a very weak indirect dependence. Public investiment in education and GDP per capital reaching the contrary, positive values and represent a direct intermediate interdependence. The biggest influence on the economic level have a total investment in education that are highly interdependent.
