Abstract
The Master´s Thesis deals with design and simulation analysis of the capacitor battery for the converter supplied by alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) power. The aim of the first chapters is to describe basic characteristics of a capacitor, an alternative model of the eletrolytic capacitor and the characteristics of an electrolytic capacitor for the power electronics. Afterward, theoretical design of the capacitor battery for the converter supplied by AC power was realized and it was then verified by simulation in OrCAD/PSpice program. Analysis of the capacitor battery was also realized for the circuit consists of an inverter powered by a battery pack. At the end of the thesis, there are demonstrated different dependences of the capacitor battery and internal resistance of the battery, switching frequency of the inverter and it was also calculated power dissipation of the capacitor.
