Abstract

CdS and ZnS nanoparticles were prepared in the presence of various cationic surfactants (CTAB, CPC, ODTB) in the concentrations from 0,05 mmol/l to 5,0. Band gap energies were estimated from UV-VIS spectra of nanoparticles dispersions. Nanoparticle radii were calculated from the values of band gap energies. The effect of surfactants nanoparticles radii was observed. The smallest radius of ZnS nanoparticles was 2,1 nm and radius of CdS nanoparticles was 2,2 nm.
