Specifika požární bezpečnosti skládky odpadů

Abstract

The thesis deals with fire safety of open municipal solid waste landfills. The text part is divided into three large sections. The first part describes the development of waste management in the Czech Republic with a focus on landfilling. The second part deals with fire hazards arising from the operation of open dumps. The last part proposes technical and organisational measures that can improve the fire safety of operations. Finally, the circumstances affecting the occurrence and extent of fire are summarised and simple principles for improving the fire safety of landfill operations are given. The work is meant for persons engaged in the specified area.
