Testování toxického účinku uhlíkatých sorbentů a jejich modifikací

Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the assessment of the toxic effect of carbonaceous sorbents and their selected modifications by means of selected ecotoxicity tests. The theoretical part of the thesis describes carbon nanomaterials of the graphene family, biochar and their application towards the environment. Furthermore, ecotoxicity tests, a search of already performed ecotoxicity tests for the graphene family and biochar and a summary of the toxicity of carbon nanomaterials, where the effect of carbon nanomaterials against plants is explained. The experimental part focuses on testing the phytotoxicity of carbonaceous sorbents and their modifications on white mustard seeds (Sinapis alba L.) using a semichronic toxicity test according to a modified procedure. The experimental part concludes with a discussion of the results along with complementary methods such as FT-IR spectrometry to determine the functional chemical groups and SEM images to determine the structural and morphological properties of the materials.
