Abstract

This thesis is dedicated to the use of management information systems and in particular the major components of the data warehouse inventory management. The main objective of this work is to design solutions, data model and system implementation to support inventory management in SAP BW. The theoretical part deals with the definition and description of management information systems, description of system functionality and SAP BW are also describes the main approaches and methods used for inventory management in enterprises. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the entire design methodology, the data model, a description of the extraction structures, outputs and subsequent automatic operations within the cycle of inventory management in SAP BW. In conclusion, the target analysis, usability of the proposed methodology in practice and opportunities for development of the proposed solution.
