Abstract

Thesis deals with the preparation of ZnO nanoparticles by thermal decomposition of zinc acetate at different temperatures and by precipitation reactions. In the second case zinc acetate was mixed with NaOH under different conditions and different proportions of substances. And also precipitation reactions using CTAB stabilizing agents or UV lamps. Prepared samples were analyzed and characterized by X-ray diffraction, UV-VIS spectrometry, FTIR and Raman spectroscopy, luminescence, transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The crystallite size, strukture and shape of prepared ZnO nanoparticles were specified.. Values of the energy gap were also estimated. The majority of samples are showing fluorescence and absorption properties.
