Abstract

The project deals with automatization and programming of microprocessor unit, which controls 4 stepper motors enabling motion of a mechanism. Unit is composed of main board, on which the microcontroller is placed, and expanding board, on which drivers controlling stepper motors are placed. Unit is communicating with motors using serial communication. All instructions are sent from Control Web application using UART. In the project, I will describe the process of designing main board and expanding board, and I will show completed diagrams. I will depict a control algorithm and clarify its function. I will describe some problems, which I encountered during the realisation of this task, and I will show you how I dealt with them.
