Abstract

The subject of this thesis is a theoretical research and experimental verification of the possibility of using microorganisms for biodegradation of organic compounds. The first part is generally described by the process of biodegradation. Following are listed and described some of the major organic pollutants. The next section is broken down pollution problems around the railway tracks. Conclusion The theoretical part is devoted to micro-organisms capable of degrading organic pollutants. The experimental part deals with the biodegradation crushed railway sleepers using microorganisms.
