Abstract

The microtunnelling method is a type of trenchless technology used successfully in municipality network utilities construction in built-up areas. The master thesis processes design for the second phase of Uslava’s sewer in Pilsen. The design is based on the knowledge gained during the first phase construction of the sewer. The text of thesis contains chapters that evaluate of engineering-geological conditions of the new route and summarize the experience gained during the construction of the first phase, both in terms of technology as well as extra ordinary situations meet at this phase. According to the stated findings it is proposed a route of sewer and selected a microtunnelling technology in particular the microtunnelling head and the method of spoil removal. Attention is paid to the choice of jacking pipes and their assessment on compressive strength and to the dimensions of starting and target shafts. The final chapters are devoted to the design of technical-organizational plan and to possibilities of its modification during construction. The last chapter drafts an economic evaluation of the microtunnelling method and it compares the microtunnelling technology to a construction of the sewer by an open trench technology. The master thesis contains 62 pages.
