Abstract
The diploma thesis analyses the degree of the Fire Rescue Service’s (FRS) dependency on communication and information systems and technologies. The work focuses primarily on operational management, but it also includes programs of organizational management. The theoretical part describes the functioning principles of the individual systems and programs used by FRS in most regions. These programs can be used exclusively in the given region, or centrally by FRS for the entire Czech Republic. The next part explains risks and threats when working on the internet. The practical part includes an evaluation of a questionnaire survey on the impact of a potential outage of individual systems and programs. The final part presents suggestions and recommendations for measures and steps for minimizing the impact of the communication and information system’s failure. The goal of the thesis is to analyse and to evaluate the current state of FRS’s dependency on the used communication and information systems across the entire FRS, in regards to a potential failure of the aforementioned systems.
