Abstract
The technology of pulverized coal inejcting into a blast furnace appears to be the most promising technologic innovation. This is proved by the fact that abroad this technology is commonly used in most modern blast furnaces. The main advantages of pulverized coal injecting include lower consumption of metallurgic coke, lower emission of solid air pollutants and lower cost of raw iron production. Finely pulverized coal injection through a tuyeres directly into a blast furnace supplements a part of coke blast furnace batch. The topic of this diploma work is processing of data from preparation of pulverized coal including a comparison of various types of coal. The result can help in choosing a suitable type of coal for processing and injecting into a blast furnace with regard to the cost of preparing pulverized coal and to the quality of the produced pulverized coal.
