Abstract

The bachelor thesis is focused on fiscal policy and indebtedness in the United States of America. The aim is to characterize and analyze the issue, appearing as a serious fiscal problem of the new millennium. Particular attention is focused on the historical development of fiscal policy and the impacts of fiscal measures on the public debt in the United States, especially under President Bush Jr. and Barack Obama. The second chapter of the thesis contains a general definition of fiscal policy and public debt. The third chapter is given the fiscal policy of the U. S., its bearers and tools in the form of individual budgets. The most important is the federal budget. The fourth chapter explains the development of debt and the effects of fiscal measures taken by the public debt in the United States from 2001 to 2011
