Abstract
There are a lot of situations where the vibrations of a system are our subject of interest because they are desired less frequently. Piezoactuators of patch type have a lot of advantages. They are cheap and easy to work with. Anyway in contrast to other methods of the active vibration control the bending moment of these actuators is very low. Even that these actuators can be used in small, smart and precise systems.
There have been described the method to create the simulation model of a cantilever beam and the active vibration system (non-collocated control). The cantilever beam is replaced by a finite number of the inertia bodies which are separated by torsion springs and dampers. The model is then created in MATLAB/Simulink enviroment where the State Space blocks are used.
Also there is designed a physical model which use the MIDÉ's actuators of the type QPK-4011 which are clamped to an aluminum strip. This strip is kinetically excited by a vibrator and then damped with the use of the actuator QPK-1001 acting as displacement sensor located near fixed end or with use of the Doppler laser vibrometer measuring the beam free end vibrations.
