Srovnání služeb DNS a ONS

Abstract

The goal of this bachelor thesis is comparison of the Domain Name System (DNS) and the Object Name Service (ONS). In the first part of this thesis I will describe the basic concept, structure and hierarchy of these systems. I will also look closer at their functioning and their practical use in the world.

In the next part of this thesis I will describe the Electronic Product Code (EPC) marking technology as the inseparable part of the ONS. I will also explain the relationship between the systems ONS and DNS. At the end of this thesis are given an examples of ONS deployment and with it related EPC of a real products.
