Abstract
This thesis addresses the problems with the use of photovoltaics as a renewable source of energy in the Czech Republic. The aim is to describe briefly the principle of photovoltaic energy conversion and basic parameters of the photovoltaic cell along with influences affecting them. This thesis evaluates the use of photovoltaics in the Czech Republic in 2010. Points out problems concerning spare capacities of the Czech Republic for network connectivity of new resources with a focus on renewable sources, subsequently describes and analyzes the feedback effects on distribution network caused by operations of photovoltaic power in accordance with grid operating rules. Further the instability and quality assessment of electricity within 6 months of operation is performed. Another goal is creating a fictional network using by means of the programme E-Vlivy, which will be partly similar to the network of operator's distribution network. On the network is made a simulation of the voltage change at the junction point after connecting the analyzed photovoltaic power plant. The conclusion presents a rough estimation of construction costs for building power plants along with a economic return after 20 years of its operation.
