Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a technological and economic solution for the mining and processing of phonolite in the Braňany locality. The aim of the thesis is to assess the possibilities of future utilization of the deposit in terms of technical feasibility, economic efficiency, and environmental impacts. The introductory part describes the area of interest and the geological conditions of the deposit. Subsequently, possible variants of mining and raw material processing are considered, and an appropriate technological arrangement of the operation is proposed. The thesis also includes an indicative economic evaluation based on estimated costs, revenues, and basic operational parameters. Furthermore, it addresses the assessment of potential environmental impacts of the proposed activity. The result is a comprehensive proposal for the possible future use of the deposit, which can serve as a basis for further project preparation and decision-making regarding its utilization.
