Abstract
The diploma thesis is focused on the topic „ Modifying the Employee Appraisal System in a Chosen Company “in the Třinecké železárny, a. s company. The main goal of the diploma thesis is to recommend suggestions to improve the established system of employee evaluation based on the analysis of the current system of employee evaluation in the selected company. In the first part of the diploma thesis there is a theoretical basis of employee evaluation. There is described the essence of human resources management and the process of employee performance management. The main attention is devoted to the characteristics of individual phases of the employee evaluation process. The second part of the diploma thesis describes the Třinecké železárny, a. s. company and the established evaluation system. Furthermore, the results of the questionnaire survey are organized, analyzed and evaluated. At the end of the diploma thesis, there are suggested recommendations, which contribute to improving the current system of employee evaluation in the company.
