Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with consumer protection in the European Union and the Czech Republic with a focus on food quality. The theoretical part presents a summary of the legislative framework in the field of consumer protection at the European and Czech level. The concepts of food quality and safety, including their importance, food quality labels and information systems focusing on food quality are introduced. The practical part is devoted to the evaluation of a questionnaire survey of Czech consumers, focusing on the perception of food quality in the Czech Republic. The aim of the bachelor thesis is based on the results of a questionnaire survey to develop proposals and recommendations for food producers in order to increase their quality for the benefit of consumers.
