Proměna území v Ostravě v centrální městskou strukturu (vymezenou ulicemi Střední, Jurečkovou a Poděbradovou)

Abstract

The subject of this master thesis is the transformation of the area in Ostrava city, defined through the streets of Denisova, Jurečkova, Poděbradova, in the central city structure. The proposal is based on the closure of actual open space together with existing House of Arts Ostrava building (House of arts) into the city block which follows the scale of the surrounding buildings. Completion of the House of the Arts is conceived as a part of the block, but also recognizes the importance of their destination. The emphasis on public space which is divided into three parts of square, park and garden s has been also placed during the design process.
