Abstract
SIKORA, M. Comparison of influence cooling rate and chemical constitution on structural steels in hot rolled rods characteristics. Ostrava: Department of Materials Forming, VŠB-TU Ostrava, 2010. 34 p.
Bachelor thesis, Supervisor: prof. Ing. Jiří Kliber, CSc.
This thesis presents a comparison of influence cooling rate respectively cooling and chemical composition on properties of structural steel rod S355J2Cr-STVK and S355J2-KJT, hot rolled. The theoretical part is devoted to the effects of carbon equivalent, the various chemical elements healing processes, the method of controlled rolling and cooling properties of the steels. The experimental part is focused on experimental rolling of steel marks above the light section line Třinec Ironworks, Inc. and the subsequent evaluation of the results obtained. Evaluation addresses the mutual comparison of mechanical and structural properties obtained from the experiment and evaluating the surface quality of rolled steel, depending on different
cooling conditions and chemical composition.
