Abstract

The thesis is focused on the design and practical realization of a diagnostic system for the Democar vehicle with an electric drive. The first part of the thesis contains an overall description of the vehicle which is followed by a division into elementary electronic vehicle systems. For each of these electronic systems is given a characterization mainly in view of what is needed for creating quality and complex design of diagnostic. Following part of the thesis concerns with the design of diagnostic and it is divided into two parts. In the first part is described a design of inner vehicle diagnostic which ensures monitoring and watching measured values and variables received from bus. This part also mentions occurred error handling and error saving issues. The second part describes the design of user vehicle diagnostic. This type of diagnostic provides an interface to inner diagnostic for the user through software application with standard serial diagnostics options. The last part of the thesis describes the implementation of the proposed solution. The last part begins with a chapter describing used hardware and software tools. In the next chapters implementation of diagnostic into LCU and CCU with commented examples proving functionality of these systems is provided. After implementing diagnostic into these two units, a description of software application for user diagnostic which was created within this thesis is presented. Application description includes simple application manual and commented application picture.
