Abstract

This bachelor thesis summarizes historical, current and future possibilities of using technical hemp, with its possible utilization as fast renewable raw material. It describes cultivation and harvest of hemp and compares the situation in the Czech Republic with the rest of the world. Practical part of the thesis is aimed on modification of hemp hurds. This modification was used in order to help hydravion of cement. Modificated hurds have been used as filling material in concrete. Mechanical properties of these specimens were also tested.
