Vliv stáří cyklistických přileb na jejich mechanickou odolnost

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the effect of age on the mechanical resistance of bicycle helmets. In theoretical part of the work medical aspect with case study and statistics of injuries, considering head injuries resulting from cycling, are discussed. The work also deals with legislation, standards which are crucial for helmet testing, materials for manufacture of helmets and their following degradation caused by UV radiation. Practical part of the work consists of bicycle helmets and their mechanical resistance testing according to standard ČSN EN 1078+A1 and evaluation of its results.
