Abstract

This thesis focuses on the possibility of introducing statistical process control in selected metallurgical enterprise. In the first part are described in detail the principles and methods of statistical process control, its phases and tools. The second part is devoted to the presentation of the company that is the largest smelter with the largest steel production in the country. Another section deals with the analysis of the current state of the used statistical methods and tools in the enterprise. The last chapter is devoted to familiarization with the wire manufacturing process, in which is verified one of the characters of the quality is the diameter of wire rod. This quality characteristic is subject to the application of statistical process control. In conclusion, then is the evaluation and propose recommendations for the introduction of SPC.
