Paralelní řešení časo-prostorových úloh

Abstract

This bachelor thesis will discuss the one-dimensional transient heat conduction problem in space-time domain. The numerical solution is based on the time-space finite element method, which leads to a system of linear equations. Thesis studies the convergence of finite element method and shows the relationship with the convergence of bilinear interpolation. It also shows how to decompose a system of linear equations using Schur complement in the space-time domain into smaller areas. Finally, we discuss the possibility of parallel implementation of the problem.
