Abstract

The master’s thesis deals with the demonstration of the design procedure of household power supply system utilizing renewables. The initial part analyzes logged data from the measurement of the electric power consumption in the household, it composes total yearly consumption profile and contains energy saving opportunities. The following section explores consumption profiles of selected appliances and defines the categories for the power management system. Thesis then compares two options of the photovoltaic power plant design, which is processed by using PVGIS web application. In the part of the design of hybrid power supply system, the aspects of energy storage system design are discussed as well. The attention is dedicated to the possibility of utilizing Vehicle-To-Home technology when connecting the electric vehicle to the household energy supply system and the impacts of electric vehicle integration on the balance of electricity consumption by using the operation statistics of the electric vehicle. In the final part, the investment and operating costs are evaluated and the opportunity of obtaining the subsidy is assessed.
