Informovanosť verejnosti a pripravenosť v prípade úniku amoniaku z zimného štadióna

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to study the preparedness of the public to respond to an emergency involving an ammonia leak from an ice arena. The thesis includes a description of the ice arena, its surroundings, and the hazardous substance used there. It describes the cooling system at the ice arena, along with risk areas and safety features. It also describes selected civil protection tasks, specifically, warning, chemical protection measures, and civil protection preparedness. The thesis assesses residents’ preparedness and current awareness through a questionnaire survey. Based on the results, an informational brochure is proposed with basic guidelines and information for residents so they know how to act in such a situation.
