Abstract
The thesis concerns the issue of the job satisfaction of employees in a consumer cooperative. The objective of the thesis is to analyze and evaluate the current job satisfaction of employees of the COOP Beskydy using the method of questionnaire survey. The results of the survey are further processed using exploratory factor analysis and item method. These methods are used to identify the effects of individual factors (workload, working conditions, workplace relations, communication and awareness, financial evaluation and employee care) on the overall job satisfaction of employees. According to the results, the factors with the greatest negative impact include communication and awareness, financial compensation and working conditions. On the other hand, the factors with the greatest positive influence are employee care, workplace relations and workload. The conclusion of the thesis suggests recommendations for each area that can help to increase the job satisfaction of the employees of the COOP. The main recommendations include optimizing store employees, considering expansion of employee benefits such as pension benefits, focusing on more effective communication and information, and last but not least, optimizing technical facilities and workplace lighting. Recommendations are proposed in the area of financial compensation for the reconstruction of the reward system, as well as consideration of the payment of overtime. The results of this thesis will also provide information for the management of the cooperative.
