Abstract

PETRŽELOVÁ, Jana. Methodical tool for selecting the PPE - Liberty Ostrava Inc. Diploma thesis, Ostrava, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering,2020, 81 pages. The diploma thesis deals with the correct choice of suitable protective work aids for the workplace according to the risks. The theoretical part mentions the risk factors of the work environment, which can have an undesirable effect on the health of employees if they are overexposed. Against exposure to risk factors, it is necessary to adapt personal protection in the particular workplace with personal protective equipment, which provides different types of individual protection for each worker, depending on which part of the body needs to be protected from risks. The practical part of the work is focused on the basic types of protective equipment, which are normatively marked with codes and symbols of protection or resistance. The output of the work is therefore a methodological aid, which serves for the appropriate selection of protective equipment to ensure sufficient protection against the risks at the particular workplace.
