Výzkum navrhování hřbitovních areálů v kontextu společenských proměn v 21. století na území České republiky

Abstract

The main topic of the dissertation thesis is the design of cemetery compounds in the context of the social changes in the 21st Century in the Czech Republic. It provides not only a typological overview of the individual structural types of crematorium facilities and ceremonial (funeral) halls, but above all the principles of designing cemetery compounds. For the purpose of this output, the individual parts of the research were conducted to depict the development of funeral home construction in the Czech territory since the Josephine reforms. Furthermore, data was gathered about existing and historical cemeteries and buildings, which have undergone transformation in the past 100 years. The content of the dissertation thesis also includes practical solutions in the form of several projects for the recultivation of cemeteries. The main output is a program compiled in the MS Excel environment, which summarises all of these principles of research into the design of cemetery surfaces and operation of ceremonial halls or crematoria. The entire compiled program environment is adapted to be intuitive and practical for users when designing these facilities.
