Abstract

This thesis deals with the use of waste heat. The waste heat from the flue gas consists of the largest loss-making in the overall energy balance of industrial gas furnaces. To reduce the loss of heat furnaces outgoing flue gas heat exchangers are used (or regenerators) which heated combustion air leaving the flue gas heat reduce this loss and thus increase fuel efficiency. Yet in the flue gas is still a large amount of waste heat that enables the integration of the various types of heat exchangers. Technology offers hot tubes convert this untapped source of heat to usable energy. Thus, the captured heat can be used in many applications depending on the requirements of the production process, for example, to heat buildings and production halls, preheating combustion air, hot water, or to convert heat into steam. All of these processes ultimately contribute to economic savings. VÍTKOVICE HEAVY MACHINERY operates many power units with high energy requirements and fully aware of the need to use resources to reduce operating costs and increase production efficiency.
