Analýza nakládání s odpady na VŠB-TUO

Abstract

The theoretical part of this bachelor's thesis describes the way in which waste management is managed at the university, the individual duties of university waste generators and the duties of an employee of the Operations Services Department, which takes care of the proper functioning of the university in waste management. Furthermore, there is an analysis of the production of all types of waste at the university over the last 5 years with an emphasis on mixed municipal waste and paper and board waste, which make up the largest part of annual production. The practical part includes the results of sampling of these two types of waste in order to design a waste management concept at the university. The proposal describes in more detail the methods of municipal waste management, which can effectively address the forthcoming legislative changes in the field of waste management in the Czech Republic; possibilities of material utilization of biodegradable waste generated at the university as a part of mixed municipal waste and the issue of hazardous waste is marginally discussed here.
