Abstract

This thesis deals with the way of ensure and operation of document management in terms of the town. The aim of the thesis is to characterize and evaluate the document management in terms of the Municipal Office Vsetín, including an economical and human resource intensity of the document management in years 2007 – 2011. The theoretical part generally describes operations done in document management with focus on individual activities, such as receiving, filing, sorting, marking, dealing with, and sending of document, while also the storing, or destruction. It also contains short description of eGovernment tolls, focusing on data mailboxes. Another part deals with the organization of the administration of the town Vsetín. The practical part describes ensuring of document management in terms of the Municipal Office Vsetín, and also deals with information system used for the performance of the document service. At the same time there were also made statistics of the number of submissions per individual official and the impact of the implementation of the data mailboxes on the post service costs amount.
