Porovnání crowdfundingových platforem pro financování Start-Upu

Abstract

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis was to determine the most suitable crowdfunding platform for financing the fictitious start-up SmartGrowTech s.r.o., which plans to manufacture and distribute hydroponic planters. It begins by tracing the essence and historical evolution of crowdfunding from the Statue of Liberty pedestal fundraiser to modern online platforms and detailing the various crowdfunding models. It then introduces a multi-criteria decision-making framework, starting with the Fuller triangle method for ranking criteria importance and progressing to Saaty’s Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), complete with geometric mean calculations, weight normalization, and consistency checks. In the practical section, the project’s key parameters and five evaluation criteria are defined; a three-level hierarchy is constructed; and eight platforms are compared pairwise. Criterion weights are determined using both the Fuller method and a simple scoring approach, then applied within AHP to yield local and global weights for each platform. Comparing the two weighting methods reveals that Hithit ranks first with the remaining platforms trailing. The thesis demonstrates that a systematic, transparent multi-criteria methodology can objectively compare crowdfunding options and guide decision-makers toward optimal financing for both innovative and socially significant projects.
