This bachelor thesis mainly focuses on the issue of area measurement using software support. It consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part contains a review of available CAFM systems on the Czech market with a description of their modules, a detailed analysis of the 6th part of the ČSN EN 15 221 standard and the definition of the object, purpose and objectives of facility management. The main aim of the practical part is to introduce the standard ČSN EN 15 221 - 6: Facility management - part 6: Measurement of areas and spaces in facility management, into the CAFM software pit-FM. To accomplish this goal, an object was chosen on which SW tools are used to solve the problem of measuring surfaces and spaces.
