Abstract
The work deals with reactive-power compensation. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts of distribution and industrial networks at the low and high level. The work decribes the reasons for power factor compensation, and the ways of the power factor compensation and eventually a sanction for a breach of rated power factor. There is also a basic division of compensation and compensation devices, which are capacitors for power factor correction and detuned reactors. There are also described the possibilities of compensating control. The practical part is focused on the power factor compensation analysis for a concrete industrial customer, where the group compensation is projected reative power detuned method.
