Abstract

This thesis deals with the economic analysis of public transport on the selected section. The analysis refers to public regional rail transport and regular intercity bus services in the area of Zlin region in the field of Uherské Hradiště - Brumov-Bylnice and Uherský Brod - Luhačovice, where the economic indicators of individual transport operations are the criteria. The content of the thesis focus on characteristics of the region, market analysis and detailed technical analysis of public transport. There are also quantified operating costs and revenues in public transport per kilometer. The recommendations and proposals for the economic efficiency of public transport keeping transport in the region are the conclusion of this thesis.
